# Device and delivery (/docs/troubleshooting/delivery)

**Ready** means eReader Relay finished generating the EPUB. It does not guarantee that a third-party
provider has accepted, converted, synchronized, and displayed the document.

## Check eReader Relay first [#check-ereader-relay-first]

1. Open the book in **EPUB library** and confirm it is ready.
2. Download it to verify the file is available.
3. Confirm the intended device still exists and its delivery address is exact.
4. Confirm the reading list or extension had that device selected.
5. Try **Send to device** once from the existing library book.

Avoid generating repeated duplicate editions while diagnosing delivery.

## Kindle checks [#kindle-checks]

* Add `relay@ereaderrelay.com` to Amazon's Approved Personal Document Email List.
* Use the personal-document address assigned to the intended Kindle, not your Amazon login email.
* Keep the Kindle online and synchronize it.
* Check Amazon email for a rejection or verification request.
* Allow time for Amazon to process and deliver the document.

Follow the complete [Kindle approved-sender guide](/docs/guides/kindle-approved-sender).

## Kobo and other providers [#kobo-and-other-providers]

Confirm the provider actually supports inbound EPUB email and supplied the registered address. Some
devices require a separate transfer service or manual download and cannot receive arbitrary email
attachments directly.

## One device received it and another did not [#one-device-received-it-and-another-did-not]

Each selected device is a separate delivery destination. Recheck the failed destination's address and
provider settings, then resend the existing EPUB only to that device.

## No device was selected [#no-device-was-selected]

The EPUB is still generated and stored in the library. Use **Send to device** later, or edit the
reading list so future editions select the intended destinations.
