# Devices and delivery (/docs/supported-content/devices-and-delivery)

eReader Relay generates standard EPUB files and can email them to registered delivery addresses.

## What eReader Relay controls [#what-ereader-relay-controls]

* Building and storing the EPUB.
* Queuing email delivery to each selected address.
* Keeping the generated book available for download or resend.

## What the device provider controls [#what-the-device-provider-controls]

* Address assignment and sender approval.
* Attachment and document limits.
* Format conversion after receipt.
* Final delivery time, synchronization, and rejection notices.

A **Ready** EPUB means generation completed; it does not prove the third-party provider has placed it
on the device. Use the delivery troubleshooting checks when a ready book does not appear.
